Nearly 1,800 Students Expected to Receive Diplomas at Commencements

Commencement ceremonies for Des Moines Public Schools’ five comprehensive high schools along with alternative programs are scheduled to be held beginning this week. Nearly 1,800 graduates are expected to receive their diplomas during the district’s graduation ceremonies.

The commencement schedule is:

  • 2:00 PM – District-wide Program

Friday, May 24
Hoyt Sherman Place, 1501 Woodland Avenue

  • 10:00 AM – Scavo Alternative High School

Saturday, May 25
Knapp Center, Drake University, 2601 Forest Avenue

  • 10:00 AM – North High School
  • 12:30 PM – Hoover High School
  • 4:00 PM – Lincoln High School
  • 7:00 PM – Roosevelt High School

Sunday, May 26

  • 7:30 PM – East High School

Tuesday, May 28
