Five Schools to Close, One Two-Hour Delay Friday, May 24
Update: DMPS Food and Nutrition will provide students who attend the five closed schools with free meals today. Parents and guardians can stop by their school between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Students do not need to be present to pick up a grab-and-go meal.
Five schools are closing for the day, Friday, May 24, and one will remain on a two-hour delay due to power outages following severe early morning storms. MidAmerican Energy is unable to predict when power will be restored.
Cowles Montessori will begin with a two-hour delay.
These schools will close for the day:
- Findley Elementary
- Greenwood Elementary
- Harding Middle School
- Madison Elementary
- Willard Elementary
