Cargill Supports Willard Elementary School through the Purchase of Computer Work Stations
As part of its longstanding commitment to support the communities in which it does business, Cargill has donated $30,000 to Willard Elementary School to ensure that all students have access to technological tools.
Willard Elementary School will use donated funds to purchase computer work stations for student use. This will enable students in every classroom to experience the power of using the latest technological tools to assist them with their class work, in gathering and evaluating information and in communicating their thoughts and findings.
“Our students are challenged on a daily basis to achieve rigorous standards in academics, art and career preparation,” said Julie Kruse, principal of Willard Elementary School. “These computer stations will be an excellent resource in the continuation of their daily development.”
“We’re proud to support Willard Elementary School because we’ve seen firsthand the kind of quality education it provides,” said Lynn Zimmerman, crush supervisor at Cargill’s Des Moines facility. “These students are the future of our community and we’re happy to help give them the updated resources they need to succeed.”
