Charter School to Hold Informational Meetings for Students

Families and staff of Des Moines Public Charter School will host four Informational Meetings for interested students who will be in the 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th grades in the 2012-2013 school year. The new term begins August 1, 2012. The Informational Meetings will be held 6:30-8:00 PM as follows:

• Tuesday, June 19 – Callanan Middle School Library, 3010 Center Street
• Thursday, June 21 – Des Moines Public Charter School cafeteria, 1421 Walker Street
• Tuesday, June 26 – Des Moines Public Charter School cafeteria, 1421 Walker Street
• Thursday, June 28 – Moulton Extended Learning Center cafeteria, 1541 8^th Street

You will learn from staff, students and families about the challenging academic programs that empower students to set ambitious goals, take responsibility for their own learning, and prepare them for post-secondary education in a safe and welcoming school community.
