Lincoln High School’s Theatre Arts Presents Improvathon: A Comedy Throwdown Benefit
From Tragedy to Triumph, From Tears to Laughter. Lincoln High School’s Theatre Arts Department will present their Improvathon: A Comedy Throwdown Benefitting Blank Children’s Hospital and NAMI of Iowa. The Improvathon event is a competition between two teams (an alumni team and a team composed of current students) not only battling it out in different improv games, but also competing to raise money for Blank Children’s Hospital and NAMI of Iowa! The goal of this production is to provide laughter for our community that is struggling with this ongoing pandemic and raise funds for two charities that are not only vital to our community but were important causes to Williams’ sister. All money raised will go directly to these two great local charities. Admission is free for the event, but audience members are encouraged to bring money to donate as the audience donations will help determine which team will win and walk away with the illustrious Comedy Cup! Silent auction items will also be available to be bid on at the event.
There will also be livestream of the event for those unable to attend in person which will be available on the Lincoln Theatre Arts YouTube page.
