The Hartford, in partnership with the Des Moines Fire Department and Windsor Elementary School, hosted a hands-on fire safety day for children in kindergarten through third grade. The event featured a simulated fire and smoke demonstration in The Hartford’s Fire Safety House, an opportunity to meet local firefighters, tour their fire truck and try on gear.

In addition, The Hartford will donate a total of $20,000 to the Des Moines public schools district and fire department for fire safety education, as part of the Junior Fire Marshal program.
