Hanawalt Elementary School, together with Des Moines Public Schools, Polk County, and their private partners, held a celebration for Phase One of a community conservation and recreation site on September 23rd. The event kicked off a new three-lane track, resurfacing of play courts, an open park lawn, and initiatives in public health.
