A perfect Saturday morning set the stage for a record-setting OneRun, an annual fundraiser for the DMPS Foundation. Started in 2019, this year’s event attracted more than 2,200 participants for the fun run/walk through Water Works Park, raising nearly $50,000. A special shoutout to Jack Shields; as the first DMPS student across the finish line he earned a $500 bonus for his school, Merrill Middle School. A big thank you to the event’s generous sponsors and all of the participants for their support of Des Moines Public Schools.
