Patrick Dix

Patrick Dix is Vice President of Client and Association Engagement at SHAZAM, where he leads the company’s speakers bureau and assists with government and community affairs. Patrick spent 25 years in broadcast journalism, including 16 years as the senior morning news anchor at WHOHD in Des Moines.

Patrick is active in the community and has served as a volunteer for ChildServe, the Science Center of Iowa, Every Step and Everybody Wins. He currently serves on the strategic communications cabinet at United Way of Central Iowa. He was named a Des Moines Business Record 40 under 40 in 2008.

Patrick grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago and attended public school. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism.

Patrick Dix and his wife Sally have twin sons who attend Roosevelt High School. They live on Des Moines’ West Side with their two lazy cats.
