Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Iowa is sponsoring the event. This event is open to the community, kids do not have to be Club members to attend, & current families can bring other kids. Parents/Adult guardians must be present for the duration of the event.

The Get on Board project seeks to reduce or eliminate existing barriers for students in the Des Moines metro area to try skateboarding. Skate DSM provides free skateboards, helmets, and lessons, to eligible students, regardless of their means.
