From the effectiveness of household products to addressing environmental concerns to developing raman calibration standards, students shared a diverse range of their work at the 12th annual DMPS Science and Engineering Fair.

Held at the Science Center of Iowa – on the evening of February 18 – 190 students in grades 6-12 presented 180 unique projects. As students explained their work to volunteer judges, family and friends roamed among the displays, taking photos of their children next to their presentations while also admiring the work of their peers.

Projects that were honored at the science fair are encouraged to participate in the State Science and Technology Fair of Iowa, which will be held March 26-27 at Iowa State University.

See below for a photo album of this year’s science fair along with a list of the honored projects.
