Talk about East Side Pride! This morning the Scarlet Nation gathered in the East High School auditorium to learn that 84 seniors were being awarded more than $180,000 in scholarships by the East High School Alumni Foundation. The scholarships were awarded on merit to help members of the Class of 2019 continue their education.
The largest scholarship given to one student is $21,600, with other awards ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 per student.
In addition to being recognized at a school assembly on May 3, the scholarship recipients will also be honored at the 142nd EHS All Alumni Scarlet Celebration at the Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center on May 10.
