All five of the DMPS comprehensive high schools qualified both boys and girls for the coed State Track & Field Meet coming up this weekend at Drake Stadium. Student-athletes from DMPS high schools will be competing in 29 different events.

On the boys’ side, East’s 4×100 meter relay unit recorded the fastest time in the state at qualifying meets over the weekend. In the 110 meter hurdles, Trevor Foley of East and Roosevelt’s Josh Ubadigbo logged two of the top five qualifying times in Iowa.

Top five qualifying results among the girls were Hoover’s 4×100 meter relay and Roosevelt’s distance medley relay, each of whom should be in the running for a spot on the medals podium.
