Ryleigh Hayworth and Fabiana Centeno from East High School were recognized as among the top ten emerging student-journalists in the state by the Iowa High School Press Association.

DMPS high school journalists cleaned up at the recent Iowa High School Press Association Spring Journalism Contest.

North and Hoover competed in the Class B enrollment category and East was entered in Class C for large schools. Combined the three schools earned a total of 31 honors.

In addition, Ryleigh Hayworth and Fabiana Centeno from East High were recognized as among the top ten emerging student-journalists in the state by the IHSPA.

Congratulations to all of the student-journalists who were recognized and their teachers/advisers; Jennifer Dryden at North, Sarah Hamilton at Hoover and Natalie Niemeyer Lorenz at East.
