Four DMPS high schools were among 68 from around the state participating in Des Moines Performing Arts’ annual Iowa High School Musical Theater Awards (IHSMTA) Showcase at the Des Moines Civic Center last night. East and Hoover both performed an excerpt of their school production live at the event.
In addition, students from those schools, along with Lincoln and Roosevelt, earned the following awards and recognitions:
