Congratulations and good luck to grapplers from East, the combined Hoover/North team, and Lincoln on qualifying for the 2018 State Wrestling Tournament. The wrestlers earned their tickets to state at district competitions across Iowa this past week.
The following wrestlers (along with their grade and home school) will be competing at the state tournament:
- 106: Aime Mukiza – 9 – North
- 113: Nathan Kahoe – 11 – Lincoln
- 126: Brock Espalin – 10 – East
- 126: Michael Moore – 11 – North
- 132: Matthew Jordan – 11 – East
- 138: Deville Dentis – 11 – East
- 170: Arthur Sumie – 11 – North
The 2018 State Wrestling Tournament gets underway on Thursday, February 15 at Wells Fargo Arena here in Des Moines.
