MLK Summit Rescheduled For Feb. 11

DMPS commerates MLKMartin Luther King, Jr. Day brought with it freezing rain which canceled events honoring Dr. King. The MLK Youth Summit, “Flippin’ the Script” has been rescheduled for Saturday, February 11, and registration has reopened.

DMPS joins the YMCA, United Way, DMACC and the Evelyn K. Davis Center in sponsoring the Youth Summit and “Flippin’ the Script.” The event, for middle and high school students, will honor the legacy of MLK by helping students write a positive script for their future.

Buses will pick up students from East, Lincoln, North, Hoover and Roosevelt in the morning, and depart the church for those schools at 1:50 p.m. Click here to learn more about the event and register. Free breakfast and lunch will be served.
