Register Soon to Attend the “New” Moore Elementary

Registration begins soon to attend the newly-renovated Moore Elementary School in the 2015-2016 school year.  A pre-registration event will be held on February 9, from 12:30 to 7:30 PM at the Franklin Avenue Public Library.

Moore Elementary School serves the families of Beaverdale, Merle Hay and the neighborhoods of northwest Des Moines. The school’s $6.6 million renovation includes a new gymnasium, playground, state-of-the-art classrooms, technology and security.

In addition, when it re-opens, the school will begin the process of becoming an International Baccalaureate World School.  Moore will be the first IB elementary school in northwest Des Moines, and provide students and families access to this world-class education from elementary through middle and high school. Both Meredith Middle School and Hoover High Schools, which Moore students would go on to attend, are IB World Schools.
