East Legends Club Promotes Good Grades
More than 60 students filled three connected rooms at East High School on Saturday, May 17th for their League of Legends LAN (Local Area Network) party. The winning team of the tournament received donated prizes from professional League of Legends players.
All players must be passing their core classes to participate in the club. According to Nicolas Lenk, a science teacher at East and the club’s sponsor, the whole point of the club is to get students to do better in school. Lenk will be moving to Detroit next year, so the club will need a new sponsor.
